lyrics

Choking as I start to scream, water in my lungs
Scratching at the ice above me, requiem is sung
Walking over thin ice, the threshold is crossed
In the arms of the frosty void my will to live is lost
Open wounds, blood freezes before it leaves the skin
One final shiver, hypothermia sets in
Sink then float, I bid the world goodbye
No one sees or hears or feels the frozen tears I cry

This the sort of nightmare from which you never wake
No time or place to ponder my fatal mistake
In this pathetic tale there's no life left to save
No one can here you scream in an ice water grave
Life flashes before my eyes, day turns to night
Only to be found floating, a bluish shade of white
One step seals my fate, down the river I'm sold
I slip into the netherworld frosty and cold

Reflecting on my life, what do I see?
An obedient child praying on his knees
Now in death here I face my sins
Relatives gather around, the funeral begins

Looking up from a casket, what do I find?
Grieving, sobbing loved ones I've since left behind
Flowers surround me and a priest to say the rights
Coffin lid shuts and then out go the lights
Then into the back of a hearse to meet with destiny
Then the sound of falling dirt falling over me
They say every man must face death alone
The worms come to greet me and take me to my bones

NOIR L.A. IS:

SHANE WOOD:
Drums

ALEX CORTES: Bass and Vocals

Since everybody seems to be so obsessed with labels and "genres" these days NOIR L.A. would label itself "diversity metal". No schematic or floor plan. You never know where it's gonna go next. Alex writes what he wants to write and flat out refuses to be pinned down. Hopefully it all fits (of course it do).
